City Walk is a self-contained urban development located within the Al Wasl area of Jumeirah, Dubai. Developed by Meraas Holding (now owned by Merex Investment Group), construction began in Q3 2011 with the district officially opening in 2017. The architectural vision was crafted by Dewan Architects & Engineers, with construction carried out by Al Shafar General Contractors and Al Futtaim Carillion.
What Makes City Walk Unique
- European-inspired architecture with glass-covered boulevards and natural light
- Exterior streets modelled on London design with sash windows and British street furniture
- A harmonious mix of residential, retail, office and hospitality spaces
- Iconic dancing water fountains, holograms, murals and art installations
- Direct views of the Burj Khalifa and proximity to Downtown Dubai
Following a successful post-pandemic repositioning, City Walk has dramatically diversified its tenant mix. The introduction of Canadian University, Talabat's regional headquarters (bringing 2,000 daily workers), luxury car showrooms (Mercedes-AMG, Rolls-Royce, Cadillac) and co-working spaces has driven boulevard occupancy from 30% in late 2020 to over 81% by December 2022, with a target of 98%.
