About this project
An Apulian sofa brand as the selling point on Dubai Islands
Natuzzi is known for its sofas. The Italian manufacturer is now lending its name to a seven storey building on Dubai Islands, developed by Peace Homes Development. The partnership goes beyond a logo on the wall: the brochure states that Natuzzi has designed bespoke furniture pieces for every apartment, from the one bedroom units up to the penthouse. The scheme stays small, with the documentation pointing to around forty residences. Handover is set for 31 December 2026, on a freehold basis. For a buyer, the question is simple: what is a designer name worth when it covers the interior fit out rather than the architecture itself?
From a workshop in Taranto to the New York Stock Exchange
The brand's history explains the bet. Pasquale Natuzzi opened his first workshop in Taranto, in southern Italy, in 1959. In 1977, the Navaho sofa changed the way the company designed and produced its models. In 1993, Natuzzi became the first non American furniture manufacturer to list on Wall Street, then opened its flagship Milan store in 2009, the starting point of a global retail network. Peace Homes is therefore backing a mass market name with international recognition, not an architecture studio. The brand speaks mostly to European and North American buyers, who already know it from showroom floors.
Forty homes across seven floors
Scale matters as much as the name here. Seven floors is only slightly more than Samana's Ocean Pearl (six levels) and far less than the twenty storey towers Nakheel has planned around the archipelago's marina. With around forty units, the number of neighbors sharing each floor stays low. The brochure also makes a point of wide corridors, designed to cut down noise between apartments. A small building has a flip side too: shared facility costs are split among fewer owners, something worth checking before signing.
A private pool starting from the one bedroom units
The unit mix runs from one to three bedrooms, with three bedroom penthouses on the top floor. Every home comes with its own pool, even the smallest layouts. Floor plans pair each bedroom with its own bathroom and a dressing area, plus a powder room for guests. An extra room, described as flexible, can work as a home office or a spare bedroom. The interior palette draws on the neutral tones of Apulia, Natuzzi's home region, with floor to ceiling windows in the living room.
Spa, cinema room and play areas on the ground floor
The shared facilities target families rather than nightlife seekers. There is a communal pool, a gym, a cinema room and two children's areas, one of them paired with a seating zone for parents. A spa with sauna rounds out the wellness offering. Shops, cafes and restaurants are planned at ground level. Golf, a tennis court and beach access also appear on the amenities list, though these likely belong to the wider island masterplan rather than the plot itself.
Sixty kilometers of coastline under construction
Dubai Islands brings together five islands off Deira, redeveloped as part of the Dubai 2040 plan. The overall masterplan calls for more than 60 kilometers of waterfront, over 20 kilometers of beaches including one with Blue Flag certification, along with parks and golf courses. The developer places Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and the international airport between 20 and 35 minutes away by car. DXB airport is the closest on that list, the Marina the furthest. The district remains a work in progress, and the late 2026 handover will land before several neighboring projects, expected in 2027 or 2028, are finished.
A third address for Peace Homes
This is not Peace Homes Development's first project built around private pools. Sky Suites, in Jumeirah Village Circle, already extends the individual pool concept down to studio units, and Peace Lagoons, in Dubailand, is organized around a lagoon. A pool in every home is becoming this developer's signature, regardless of neighborhood. Natuzzi Harmony Residences adds a card the other two did not have: a publicly listed furniture partner. What remains unclear is exactly what the Natuzzi package covers (which pieces are included, warranty terms, replacement policy), details the brochure does not spell out.
