Dubai International City was incorporated in July 2004 and is situated between interchanges 5 and 6 of Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), opposite the Dubai Central Fruit and Vegetable Market. The master plan draws inspiration from traditional Middle Eastern carpet patterns, arranging ten country-named clusters around a Central Business District (CBD).
Country-Themed Clusters
- England Cluster – traditional London-style architecture
- France Cluster – French windows, red and grey brick façades
- Spain Cluster – stucco-finished three- and four-storey buildings
- China Cluster – adjacent to the iconic Dragon Mart complex
- Persia, Greece, Russia, Morocco, Italy and Emirates Clusters
The community encompasses over 485 apartment buildings housing approximately 37,049 residential units and more than 11,000 commercial units. Phase 2 (Warsan 4) introduces newer buildings with improved layouts and modern amenities, while Warsan Village offers townhouses for family living. The culturally inspired architecture and self-contained design give International City a distinctive identity among Dubai's budget-friendly neighbourhoods.
