Canal Crown

An Italian jeweller shapes the design of a 38-storey tower

Canal Crown comes from a partnership between DAMAC Properties and de Grisogono, the Geneva-based fine jewellery house founded in 1993. The stone running through the whole concept is peridot, a light green gem, and its colour shows up across the facades and shared spaces. The building has two basement levels, a ground floor, three podium levels, 38 residential floors and a rooftop level. It sits on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal, in Business Bay, one of the city's busiest business districts. Handover is set for late 2027. This is the second DAMAC x de Grisogono project in the area, following Canal Heights, located a few streets away.

Studios, apartments and duplexes up to four bedrooms

The tower offers a broad range of layouts within a single building. Buyers can choose from studios, one and two bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom duplexes. This mix is meant to appeal to different types of buyers under one address, from first time investors looking for a small rental unit to families wanting more space. The duplexes sit on the upper floors and get views over the canal and Downtown. Interiors work with a light colour palette, natural stone and metal accents, alongside full width panoramic windows.

VR swimming and aqua training

DAMAC has put real weight behind unusual water based amenities. Beyond the shared pools and units with their own private pool, the building includes aqua training zones and VR swimming areas, where swimmers move through the water while an underwater scene is projected around them. A planet themed garden runs through the podium's landscaped areas. Spa facilities round out the wellness offering. An observation deck near the top looks out over Downtown Dubai, the canal and the skyline beyond. The ground floor and podium host restaurants, cafes and neighbourhood shops along a promenade.

Five minutes from Burj Khalifa, ten from Dubai Frame

Its Business Bay location puts Canal Crown roughly five minutes by car from Burj Khalifa and Safa Park. Dubai Frame, the Museum of the Future and Kite Beach are all about ten minutes away. The district sits along Sheikh Zayed Road, the city's main artery, which makes the airport and Dubai Marina quick to reach. Business Bay already has its own metro station on the Red Line. Being right next to the canal, with its walking paths and docks, adds a daily use that few buildings in the area actually deliver at their doorstep.

DAMAC and its string of branded towers

Since 2002, DAMAC Properties has delivered close to 47,000 homes and has more than 33,000 units in development at various stages. The developer has built a reputation for teaming up with fashion and luxury brands: Versace, Cavalli, de Grisogono, Paramount, and even a golf course managed by the Trump Organization. This co-branding approach is meant to set each tower apart in a market crowded with high end projects. In Business Bay, DAMAC now has several of these addresses, including Canal Heights and Safa One. Canal Crown follows the same playbook, with peridot as the visual signature specific to this building.
