About this project
A hypercar maker from Modena designs the apartments of a black tower on the Dubai Canal
DaVinci Tower has twenty residential floors. In Business Bay, that counts as short: the district lines up projects reaching 50, 85 and soon nearly 100 levels. DarGlobal went for a low-rise footprint instead and handed the interiors to Pagani Automobili, the workshop in San Cesario sul Panaro that hand builds a few dozen Zonda and Huayra cars a year. The building sits on three basement levels plus a ground floor, directly on the Dubai Water Canal. Handover is set for 30 December 2025, which puts the project among the closest to completion in this part of town.
Horacio Pagani and his debt to Leonardo
The tower's name is not a marketing flourish. Horacio Pagani, the brand's founder, has cited Leonardo da Vinci as a reference point for decades: the idea that art and engineering should be worked on together. The facade spells this out quite literally. It is black, curved, and traces a V shape as a tribute to the painter. That color choice stands apart from the light glass towers that dominate the canal's edge. For a buyer, the real question is whether the Pagani name amounts to a facade gesture or a genuine set of interior specifications. The spec sheet gives a fairly precise answer.
Gessi, Duravit, Geberit: what the spec sheet actually says
Living room, dining area and kitchen get marble flooring with wood skirting. Walls alternate feature wallpaper and wood paneling in certain zones, under painted plaster ceilings. Bedrooms switch to semi engineered wood flooring, with solid wood skirting and built in lacquered storage. In the bathrooms, marble covers the floor, walls and vanity top, taps come from Gessi and sanitaryware from Duravit or Geberit (the "or equivalent" wording leaves the developer some room to maneuver). Kitchens come with a marble or large format porcelain stoneware countertop, fridge, freezer, oven, cooktop, hood, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a wine cooler. Home automation and centralized hot water appear across every unit category.
Two to four bedrooms, each with a private terrace
The lineup skips studios and one-bedroom units entirely. The offering starts at two bedrooms and runs up to four, with every unit featuring a private terrace, before topping out with penthouses. The brochure lists furnished and unfurnished versions for standard apartments, while furniture is always included in the penthouses. This mix targets settled households or buyers after a turnkey second home, rather than small ticket buy to let investors. The spec sheet also lists a "retail" category, pointing to a commercial component at the base of the building, unlike DG1, DarGlobal's other tower in the district.
Rooftop, butler service and sauna
Shared amenities are concentrated on the roof. There is a pool surrounded by greenery and a gym, with open views of Burj Khalifa. A sauna rounds out the wellness offering. Service is where the project tries to stand out: the tower includes a butler on top of standard concierge, a level of service usually found in hotel branded residences. Security, CCTV and a reception lobby are standard fare. With just twenty floors, the number of residents sharing these amenities stays limited, which has a direct bearing on how well the service actually holds up day to day.
Five minutes from Downtown, airport claim worth checking
The tower sits roughly 4 km from Sheikh Zayed Road. The developer quotes five minutes by car to Downtown Dubai and Dubai Mall, and around twenty minutes to Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab, figures that hold up outside peak hours. The 12 minute claim for Dubai World Central looks optimistic though, given that airport sits more than 40 km away: that figure looks more like the drive time to DXB instead. DarGlobal, a subsidiary of Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan listed in London, has built its model around brand partnerships, with Aston Martin, Tonino Lamborghini and here Pagani. With handover just months away, on site construction progress remains the first thing to check before booking anything.
