The Azure series opens the apartment chapter at DAMAC Riverside

Riverside Views Azure 2 lines up five interconnected blocks, each built over a ground floor, a two-level podium and eight residential storeys. The scheme is one of eight apartment clusters that make up Riverside Views, Dubai's first community organised around a network of freshwater canals. DAMAC Properties is offering only one and two-bedroom units here, a tighter format that contrasts with the townhouses launched earlier at the same address. Light-toned facades and wide terraces are meant to soften the massing visually. Handover is scheduled for March 2029, on a freehold basis.

Five blocks, just two unit types

Azure 2 doesn't play the variety card when it comes to floor space. The catalogue sticks to one and two-bedroom apartments, spread across a wide range of layouts (types A, B, C, with variants numbered up to B11 and C6). Floor plates repeat across two configurations, one for even-numbered levels (2, 4, 6, 8) and another for odd-numbered ones (3, 5, 7), with the first floor set apart. This approach clearly targets first-time buyers and investors chasing lower entry points rather than large family homes. Interiors lean on open living spaces, warm tones, contemporary flooring and wide windows facing the greenery and water. It's a product built with the rental market in mind.

An amphitheatre and a floating opera on the canal

The brochure lists a set of amenities that goes well beyond what's typical for a residential cluster. On offer: an open-air amphitheatre, a floating opera staged on the water, and a music stage reachable from a clubhouse facing the riverfront. The Malibu swimming cove serves as an artificial beach at the heart of the community. On the dining side, Portofino restaurant is reached by boat and leans into Italian cuisine, while a restaurant called Al Jazira comes before a screening at the floating cinema. Together, these features turn evenings into a full programme rather than a checklist of amenities.

A hydroponic farm feeding the cooking classes

DAMAC pushes a wellness angle here that goes further than most projects. Hydroponic farms grow fresh vegetables used in outdoor cooking classes and culinary demonstration stations. The sports offering combines an aquatic climbing wall, dedicated water sports areas and outdoor fitness stations scattered across the community. After a workout, pools infused with essential oils offer aromatherapy-based recovery. The Zen spa rounds things out with massages, meditation rooms and quiet private spaces. A chess area and a kids' space called Kids Adventure Land add to the offering for all ages.

Twelve minutes from Al Maktoum, ten from Expo 2020

Riverside Views sits within Dubai Investment Park, a district undergoing rapid densification on the western edge of the city. The site puts Al Maktoum International Airport twelve minutes away, the future hub set to become Dubai's main airport over time. The Expo 2020 site, now converted into a mixed-use district, is ten minutes away. DAMAC Mall (fourteen minutes), Trump International Golf Club (fifteen minutes), Global Village (sixteen minutes) and Dubai Outlet Mall (nineteen minutes) round out the surrounding area. Motor City, Dubai Sports City and DAMAC Hills remain a quick drive away via the main roads. It's a peripheral location, but one backed by the infrastructure Dubai is developing most actively.

Buying a single apartment or a whole building

DAMAC Riverside is positioned as Dubai's first residential community bordering a canal, a claim the developer highlights to back its pioneering stance. The brochure explicitly opens the door to two types of buyers: those purchasing a single unit and those aiming for an entire building. The latter option targets institutional investors and operators running managed rental portfolios. Riverside Views' eight clusters (Marine, Indigo, Azure, Royal, Capri) each run through shades of blue drawn from the waterside setting. Azure 2 therefore joins an already well-defined ensemble, with a 2029 timeline that leaves room to watch the area develop before the keys are handed over.
