About this project
244 apartments and a one-bedroom majority: Altai Tower keeps things modest in JVT
Altai Tower holds 244 apartments, making it one of the more compact schemes Tiger Group has launched in Jumeirah Village Triangle. Its neighbours Elbrus Tower and Lilium Tower both top 260 units, and Volga Tower comes close to 400. The developer has set handover for 30 April 2026, a tight timeline for a project still being sold off-plan. The tower stacks 26 residential floors on top of parking levels, and the top floor is listed in the brochure as delivered furnished. The name points to the Altai mountains on the border of Kazakhstan, Russia, China and Mongolia, continuing Tiger's pattern of naming towers after mountain ranges or rivers (Elbrus, Volga). Units are sold freehold.
146 one-bedrooms out of 244 units
The brochure's unit breakdown lists 48 studios, 146 one-bedroom apartments and 50 two-bedrooms. One-bedrooms make up roughly 60% of the building, with studios and two-bedrooms splitting the rest almost evenly. The mix clearly targets JVT's rental market, where demand skews toward singles and working couples rather than larger households. There are no three-bedrooms or penthouses on offer. A family with two children would quickly find the tower too tight, which in turn caps how much the building can attract owner-occupiers rather than renters. The developer states that every layout is designed to maximize natural light, though no typical unit sizes are given in the document.
Twenty-six floors, the top one delivered furnished
The structure sits on a covered parking base. The brochure cites four parking levels, while other listings for the project mention five, a discrepancy worth checking against the contractual plans. Above that, 26 residential floors carry the full unit count, averaging just over nine apartments per floor. Floor 26 stands out for furnished units, a useful option for anyone eyeing short-term rentals without extra fit-out costs. Tiger describes interiors inspired by Emirati culture, without naming an architect or materials supplier. A retail unit is planned at ground level.
Jogging track and rooftop outdoor pool
The amenities list is fairly standard for JVT, with one less common feature: a dedicated walking and jogging track built into the common areas. It sits alongside an outdoor pool with a separate kids' pool, plus a shared gym. The brochure highlights the play area, positioned so parents can watch their children from the lounge zone nearby. Barbecue spots, leisure areas and dining options round out the offering. Pets are allowed, which remains a real deciding factor for part of the expat rental pool. The building is listed as accessible for people with reduced mobility and fitted with CCTV.
JBR in 13 minutes, Dubai Mall in 23
Jumeirah Village Triangle sits between Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, two arteries that cover most of the city. The brochure gives drive times: 13 minutes to JBR, 17 to Mall of the Emirates, 19 to Palm Jumeirah. Global Village is listed at 20 minutes and Dubai Mall at 23. These figures assume smooth traffic, which is rarely the case on Al Khail during rush hour. The area has no metro station, so driving remains the default way to get around. JVT has the edge of being less dense than neighbouring JVC, with more villas and townhouses surrounding its towers.
Tiger, a builder before it was a developer
Tiger started out as a construction firm, founded in the UAE in 1976 and ranked "First Category" by the authorities. The group claims more than 250 completed projects. Among its delivered towers, the brochure names The Square Tower, O2 Tower, Regina Tower and Blue Waves Tower. Cloud Tower, Seslia Tower, Nobles Tower and The V Tower are currently under construction. Building in-house should in theory reduce the risk of schedule slippage, a point that will matter when checking whether the April 2026 deadline holds. That said, Tiger is running several launches in JVT at once, so buyers will find competing stock from the same developer just a few streets away.
