The Wilds Residences

Six buildings around a central park, a rooftop astronomy observatory

Aldar Properties is building The Wilds Residences around a simple idea: organize the whole community around a central park connected by natural trails. The project comprises six buildings of varying heights, ranging from ten to fifteen residential floors depending on the block. It sits in Wadi Al Safa 3, in southern Dubai, between the Majan development and the green community of Al Barari. Handover is set for mid-2030. The scheme offers one to three bedroom apartments, plus two and three bedroom duplexes, all freehold.

Ten to fifteen floors depending on the building

The layout isn't uniform, which is unusual for a community of this scale. Buildings one and six rise to ten residential floors above ground level. Buildings two and five reach twelve floors. Buildings three and four, at the center of the site, top out at fifteen floors. This staggered massing creates varied rooflines and spreads out density, with the tallest volumes placed at the middle of the plot. Units range from one bedroom to three bedroom plus maid's room, complemented by two-story duplexes.

An observatory and a bird-watching lookout

The Nest is the project's signature pavilion, designed as a gathering point. On its roof, Aldar has placed The Observatory, dedicated to stargazing, and The Lookout, set aside for bird-watching. Two features you won't find in typical Dubailand residences. The pavilion also houses a café and discovery spaces for children. This nature-driven approach carries through the rest of the program, with trails connecting each building to the central park and its meditation bridges.

A community garden, beehives and an organic market

Beyond the pools and spa, Aldar has gone for a set of unusual amenities. The community includes a community garden, a beekeeping zone and an organic produce market. There are also restorative gardens, a splash pad called The Spring, a yoga deck and a dance studio. On the sports side, the list covers padel, tennis, basketball, a Muga multi-sport court and a cycling track. Residents also get a cinema (Netflix Room), a coworking space (The Nook) and separate lounges for kids and teens.

25 minutes from the airport and Dubai Mall

Wadi Al Safa 3 sits in the southern part of Dubai, an area still developing but well connected to major roads. Aldar quotes a 25-minute drive to Dubai International Airport as well as to Dubai Mall. The immediate surroundings are Majan and, notably, Al Barari, known for its dense greenery. This positioning targets families looking for a green setting without moving far from the center. The project's natural buyer remains the settled expat rather than someone chasing short-term rental yield.

Light-toned interiors, engineered stone counters

The brochure specifies a light color scheme across all units. Apartment and bathroom floors are finished in porcelain ceramic tile. Kitchen counters are engineered stone, while shower fittings are brushed bronze. Kitchen cabinet fronts, interior and exterior doors, and wardrobe exteriors are laminate. Each unit is designed to capture natural light and open up to the landscape. It's a consistent approach given the project's core promise: bringing living spaces closer to their surroundings rather than closing them off.
