Damac Islands 2 - Bahamas 2 follows the same script as the first Damac Islands, which sold out entirely before it was even handed over. DAMAC Properties has structured the community around eight themed islands (Bahamas, Tahiti, Bermuda, Barbados, Cuba, Maui, Mauritius, Antigua), with Bahamas 2 being the residential cluster of villas and townhouses covered here. The scheme relies on light facades, open terraces and a layout that hugs the landscape, without the vertical towers found in DAMAC's downtown projects. Handover is set for June 30, 2030, on a freehold basis. The development claims more than 45 amenities, including a swimmable lagoon and a series of themed gardens.

4-5 bedroom townhouses and villas up to 6 bedrooms

The cluster has no apartments at all. Instead, buyers will find four and five bedroom townhouses, five bedroom twin villas and six bedroom villas, a single product line built for families. Bahamas 2 pushes past wellness. The plan includes a forest adventure trail (Sky Forests) with treehouses, a canopy walkway and zip lines. A dedicated nature explorers zone offers environmental education, a wild garden and observation platforms. On the dining side, DAMAC has set up cave barbecues, tented breakfasts and open air dinners. A cultural plaza brings together a climate controlled dome, a performance stage, a food market, a library-museum and a study garden. The underlying idea is to turn everyday life into a string of micro destinations, all without leaving the community.

Fifteen minutes from Motor City, twenty three from Al Maktoum

The cluster sits in the southwest part of Dubai, away from the busiest arteries but still connected to the highway network. Sports City, Motor City and DAMAC Hills are listed at 15 minutes, and the Expo 2020 site at 20 minutes. Al Maktoum International Airport, set to become the emirate's main air hub, is 23 minutes away, an asset for the medium term given the 2030 handover date. Burj Al Arab and Dubai International Airport remain further out, around 35 to 40 minutes. This location suits a buyer who values space and quiet over immediate proximity to Downtown.

DAMAC builds on the success of the first Islands

Market context matters here. Damac Islands 1 sold out completely, which explains the direct extension logic behind phase 2. DAMAC positions the development around sustainability, with solar charging points, electric mobility within the community, low rise construction and materials aimed at a lower footprint, backed by environmental certifications claimed at group level. For buyers, the practical trade off is twofold: a villa product within a community still under development, and a bet on the rise of Dubai's southwest corridor by 2030. The single villa typology keeps density low and helps protect usage value. Still, the distant handover date means a long wait to see how the construction phasing plays out.
