About this project
Zaha Hadid Architects delivers a 34-storey tower facing Ras Al Khor sanctuary
The Symphony marks the first Dubai collaboration between Imtiaz Developments and Zaha Hadid Architects. The building rises 34 residential floors above a five-level podium and two basement levels in Bukadra, within the Meydan Horizon district. Its sculptural form captures shifting light throughout the day, creating shadow patterns that recall the late architect's signature vocabulary. The Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary sits five minutes away, offering residents views of mangroves and flamingos rather than another glass tower. The project also incorporates Grade A office space, making it a mixed-use complex rather than a purely residential address.
Curved envelope with floor-to-ceiling glass
The building's exterior abandons conventional right angles for continuous curves that follow structural tension lines. Panoramic glazing wraps each floor, flooding apartments with natural light from sunrise to sunset. Interior palettes favour warm tones, soft ambient lighting recessed into ceilings, and furniture lines that extend the architectural fluidity into living spaces. This coherence between shell and fit-out remains uncommon in Dubai, where starchitect collaborations often stop at the façade. Here, the Zaha Hadid DNA carries through to unit finishes, door handles, and built-in cabinetry.
One to three bedrooms plus duplex penthouses
The residential programme spans one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom apartments, and penthouses. Duplex units feature double-height living rooms with sculptural internal staircases that echo the building's formal language. Open kitchens merge with living areas without visual interruption, replacing traditional partitions with central islands. Every apartment includes a balcony oriented toward the wildlife sanctuary or the Business Bay skyline. Floor plans prioritise usable area over circulation corridors, delivering generous net living space relative to gross floor area.
Five podium levels of amenities
The podium dedicates five floors to communal facilities, separating them from residential and commercial lobbies. Residents access an artificial beach with lagoon, two pools (adult and children), a clubhouse featuring a cigar lounge and billiards room, and a double-height library. Fitness options split between a covered gym equipped with Pilates reformers and an open-air yoga terrace. A full-floor coworking zone targets remote workers and entrepreneurs who prefer to avoid downtown commutes. Concentrating amenities in the podium frees rooftop levels for landscaped terraces and intimate seating areas without overcrowding.
Grade A offices and separate commercial lobby
The Symphony is not residential only: several floors house Grade A office suites with a dedicated commercial lobby distinct from the residential entrance. The commercial lobby reprises the building's architectural codes, with polished stone, reflective accents, and directional lighting. Office floors benefit from the same panoramic glazing as apartments, providing natural daylight rarely found in conventional office towers. This functional mix appeals to a different buyer profile: entrepreneurs wanting to live and work in the same building, or investors seeking to diversify across residential and commercial lots within a single project.
Meydan Horizon and connectivity to major hubs
Bukadra sits within the Meydan Horizon masterplan, an evolving district slated for new road and transit infrastructure over the coming years. Currently, Burj Khalifa and Business Bay lie fifteen minutes away by car, while Dubai International Airport remains reachable in twenty minutes. Proximity to Ras Al Khor ensures quick access to southern axes leading toward Dubai South and Al Maktoum International. The June 2029 handover allows buyers to track neighbourhood evolution before completion. Freehold pricing starts below two million dirhams for the smallest units, positioning entry-level buyers alongside penthouse purchasers.
