Dubai Maritime City stands as the sole specialized maritime cluster in the UAE and the GCC, spanning 249 hectares of purpose-built land. Developed by DP World with architectural design by Khatib & Alami, DMC was conceived as a comprehensive hub covering industry, regulation, and infrastructure for the maritime sector.
Key Zones Within DMC
- Industrial Precinct — fully operational with ship repair facilities, yacht manufacturing workshops, warehouses, and showrooms. Features 42 dry berths, 1,270 metres of wet berthing, and two ship lifts (3,000 and 6,000 tons)
- Maritime Centre — an urban corporate park with waterfront parcels and planned high-rise towers including the 45-storey Landmark Tower
- Academic Quarter — maritime campus offering marine engineering, transportation, and naval science programmes for 1,300 students
